Suez Canal Authority Extends Rebate Period for Dry Bulk Vessels on Major Trade Routes

Suez Canal Authority has decided that circular no. (3/2018) & its renewing and amending periodical issued on 18 December 2022, concerning the rebate granted to (Laden/Ballast) Dry Bulk Vessels; operating between Americas’ Eastern ports up to Brazilian ports and Asian ports, shall remain in force till 30 June 2024 (the last permissible sailing date from origin port is 30 June 2024).

 

Dry Bulk Vessels

 

Suez Canal Authority decided that circular no. (2/2017)​​ & its renewing and amending periodical issued on 18 December 2022, concerning laden or ballast “Dry Bulk” vessels operating between Australian ports and ports at Northwest Europe (starting from CADIZ port and its Northern ports), shall remain in force until 30 June 2024 (the last permissible sailing date from origin port is 30 June 2024).

Suez Canal Authority decided that circular no. (2/2021) & it’s renewing and amending periodical issued on 18 December 2022, concerning the rebate granted to (Laden/Ballast) Dry Bulk Vessels; operating between Mauritanian Ports (and its Southern Ports at West Africa) and ports at the Arabian Gulf, India & its Eastern ports, and the Far East, shall remain in force until 30 June 2024 (the last permissible sailing date from origin port is 30 June 2024).

 

Dry Bulk Vessels

 

1) “Dry Bulk Vessels” [laden / ballast] (whether “Dry Bulk Vessels” (3L/3B) or “Other Vessels” (13L) transit dues tariff is applied) operating between Egyptian ports on the “Red Sea” on one side and ports at South-West Africa on the other side; shall be granted the following rebate percentages: 

 

a) Ports at (Ghana – Togo – Benin – Nigeria), shall be granted a rebate of 20% of Suez Canal normal tolls.

b) Ports at “Cameroon” and its Southern ports shall be granted a rebate of 45% of Suez Canal normal tolls.
